Summer food programs offered

WASILLA — Summer School and the Summer Food Service programs are underway at Burchell High School through June 13.

Mat-Su Borough School District Nutrition Services will serve breakfast from 8:30 to 9 a.m., and lunch from noon to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at Burchell.

But children 18 or younger also will be fed this summer at several locations around the borough. Locations, times and days of service follow:

• Wasilla Boys and Girls Club, 3700 E. Bogard Rd., Wasilla, serves breakfast at 10:30 a.m. and lunch at 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

• Blood and Fire Ministries, 7362 W. parks Highway, Ste. 276, Wasilla, serves lunch at 3 p.m., Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

• Food Pantry of Wasilla, 501 E. Bogard Road, Wasilla, serves lunch at noon, Monday through Friday.

• Newcomb Park, Parks Highway and Crusey Street, Wasilla, serves lunch at noon, Monday through Friday.

• Houston Fire Department, Mile 57, Parks Highway, Houston, serves lunch at noon, Monday through Friday.

• Sutton Luibrary, 11301 N. Chickaloon Way, Sutton, serves lunch at noon, Monday through Friday.

• Big Lake Library, 3140 S. Big Lake Road, Big Lake, serves lunch at noon, Monday through Friday.

• Willow Food Pantry, Mile 67.8, Parks Highway, Willow, serves lunch at 1 p.m., Wednesdays.

• Willow Community Center, Mile 69, Parks Highway, Willow, serves lunch at 1 p.m., Thursdays.
