The Sunshine Community Health Center will be hosting immunization clinics in October and the beginning of November for the Upper Valley. Free flu shots are available throughout the month of October and patients can request to update their immunizations at these special clinics.
“Staying up to date on your vaccines helps protect not only yourself but also the people around you—friends, family, and neighbors who may be more vulnerable. Immunizations are one of the safest and most effective ways to keep communities strong, healthy, and safe,” according to the Sunshine Community Health Center website.
Special event days on October 24 at their Willow location will feature snacks and treats for their patients. Sunshine Community Health Center will be attending the Talkeetna Community Health Fair on November 1 at the Upper Susitna Community and Senior Center to host a final immunization clinic as well.
Everyone who gets their immunizations in October will receive a free limited-edition shirt and Spooky Season tumbler while supplies last. These incentives are an effort to encourage a healthy and responsible community.
“Getting vaccinated is more than just a personal choice—it’s a way to protect your loved ones and your community. Every shot helps prevent the spread of illnesses that can hit hard during the colder months. By staying on top of your immunizations, you’re helping reduce stress on healthcare systems, keeping schools and workplaces healthier, and keeping our community thriving,” according to the Sunshine Community Health Center website.
