Dear Wasilla residents;
I’d like to take a moment to convey my support for Council Member Glenda Ledford for Wasilla Mayor. I’ve known Glenda and Doug for many years. I served with Doug on Wasilla City Council several years ago and know him to be a pretty good guy. In the past ten years I have worked closely with Glenda Ledford in her capacity as a Wasilla Planning Commissioner and Council Member as well as community involvement in MYHouse, and Wasilla Area Seniors.
Glenda is up to date with issues facing Wasilla, especially during these trying times of a pandemic and economic uncertainty. Glenda brings to the table a clear understanding of what makes our city run, how the actions of the city government affects our local businesses and residents and that is key for our future leadership representing Wasilla.
In my past four years in the Alaska State Legislature I worked closely with Glenda and the Administration to ensure infrastructure and public safety projects were supported. A strong working relationship between the state legislature, Governor’s Office and local government is very important and Glenda understands this.
I urge you all to consider the future of Wasilla and join me in supporting a true conservative, business minded leader for Wasilla, Glenda Ledford will be a great Mayor for Wasilla.
Sincerely,
Colleen Sullivan-Leonard
