To the editor:
Out of the two candidates for Ma-Su Borough Mayor, I support Larry DeVilbiss because he has country common sense and being a farmer he has a good understanding of the real world economics.
Mat-Su Borough Assembly District 3 candidate Ron Arvin’s qualifications far overshadow his opponent. Unfortunately Arvin’s opponent’s supporters have spread falsehoods about him such as “he doesn’t attend meetings.” He does, either in person of by teleconference. Or, that he is not interest in doing anything. For someone “not interested” he has done a great job of helping move the borough’s economy and government in the right direction for the last three years.
Both candidates are committed to having private industry create a diverse economy of family wage jobs.
Please join me in a vote for Larry DeVilbiss for borough mayor and I encourage District 3 voters to support Ron Arvin for the borough assembly Oct. 2. Even though I am not a resident of District 3, my life and property are affected by the entire assembly’s votes, so I do have an interest in the outcome of this election, regardless of the district, as do you.
