The Sullivan campaign has been flooding my mailbox with fliers denouncing U.S. Sen. Mark Begich’s vote for the Affordable Care Act.
I strongly disagree with the accusations leveled as to the impact of the Act, and certainly its impact on my business and family.
As a small business committed to providing health care benefits to our employees, we struggled through over a decade of double-digit insurance premium increases and the lifetime benefits cap was a matter of concern.
Since the Act was passed we have been able to keep our children on our plans after college while they found jobs that provided insurance and the lifetime cap on benefits is gone — guaranteeing health care to all members of our group no matter how chronic their condition.
Most significantly, we now are enjoying our second year in a row with premium decreases! Thank-you Sen. Begich!
