I am writing in support or your policy of limiting online reader comments in response to articles in your publication to 100 words. I have submitted comments several times and I find that the limit on number of words makes me consider more carefully what I have to say. Having to make every word count makes me a better writer.
Kudos, also, to your decision to review comments before posting. Many times the reader responses in the ADN are ugly, offensive and sometimes have nothing to do with the article to which they are responding. Your policies make you a better paper and us better residents. Keep up the good work.
