It’s refreshing to see that all legislative races in the Valley are contested. Not only are there candidates from the Democrats and Republicans on the tickets, but more interestingly, in one Senate and three House races there are candidates who are independent of the two major parties.
One of these independent candidates is Warren Keogh in Senate District E. Warren Keogh will provide a much-needed counterpoint to the established rhetoric of the major parties and will bring new perspectives and new solutions to the problems facing us.
This year voters have a choice. Incumbents will not be able to sit back ignoring their constituents, waiting for the votes to fall in their laps.
Let’s put an independent in the state Senate, put aside party politics, and elect someone to represent Alaskans. Vote for Warren Keogh.
