To the editor:
I wanted to take a moment to send a letter in support of Vic Kohring in his bid for a seat on Wasilla City Council.
I’ve been a resident of Wasilla the past several decades and I’ve come to know Vic as both a state representative for my district and as a close personal friend.
When Vic served in the Legislature, he was very aware of the needs of his constituents and he was always available to hear concerns. Even before Vic and I became close friends, I spent time in his office discussing a variety of legislative matters and local concerns.
He is a keen listener and very good policymaker. I fully supported him during his tenure as a state representative and I fully endorse him now as a candidate for Wasilla City Council. I believe Vic is perfectly suited for service at the local level. His strong work ethic, conservative values and commitment to his community are what’s needed to keep Wasilla on the leading edge of development.
