Mark Masteller needs to be the next Mat-Su Borough Mayor so we can get back what has been missing recently — people and local businesses at the assembly table helping to find solutions to important problems. Masteller embodies the community spirit that encourages ideas to find good solutions that benefit us all.
When Masteller chaired the planning commission a few years go people and local businesses developed a thoughtful economic development plan that grows our natural economic opportunities. Now the plan needs to be implemented. Masteller has the ability and energy to make it so.
Masteller will put the borough checkbook online for all taxpayers to see. Maybe the emergency services rainy day account wouldn’t have been drained from $2.3 million to a half million over the past two years if people had noticed. Bills for the recent flood are already almost a half million and little is left for emergencies that we might face during the next nine months. I trust Masteller to be fiscally responsible and visible for the taxpayers.
Masteller, is an educator and energy adviser, who understands that great schools and thoughtful economic growth need to support each other. Masteller brings fresh energy and a welcoming community spirit that will help us all build a better future.
