I encourage all Wasilla residents to turn out on Oct. 4 and vote to re-elect Wasilla Mayor Verne Rupright for a second term. I don’t live within the Wasilla city limits myself, but I own a business in Wasilla, and I have seen positive developments to the community under Rupright’s leadership. He has a put forth a solid and forward thinking public works plan and we enjoy lower sales tax rates. He understands that the mayor has a role outside of photo opportunities and he gets that hard work done. So, turn out the vote Wasilla for Mayor Rupright — we are lucky to have him!
