To the editor:
On Aug. 28, we have the opportunity to vote for candidates in the various primary races throughout the Valley. I will be casting my vote for Linda Menard for State Senate Seat D.
Menard is not only a problem-solver, but she will work with all members of the Legislature. She has proven to be a valuable member of the Mat-Su community for more than 40 years by serving on the Mat-Su School Board, Mat-Su Convention and Visitor Bureau and Valley Hospital Association.
She is a great supporter of schools. She believes in choice and public education. Here in the Mat-Su, our children can choose to attend a Spanish immersion language school, focus on career and technical courses, even obtain an associate’s degree while in high school. There are many choices for children and parents.
Menard will fight so that all children have the choice in public schools. During her term in Juneau, Menard has advocated and helped secure millions of dollars for our children’s schools. She has worked with Republicans and Democrats to ensure our children have safe schools to learn in.
I am excited that Menard is running for Senate Seat D. I urge you to vote for her, too.
