On Oct. 1, voters in the city of Wasilla will have the opportunity to pay for construction of a new Wasilla Public Library through a city sales tax increase of 1 percent for three years, or until enough money has been raised.
This new library will include 95,000 holdings and be located near Wasilla Middle School. It will serve as an important resource with its desperately needed additional space to hold programs and meetings, and house new books and technology.
As a Willow resident who does most of my shopping in Wasilla, I am happy to support this endeavor, which will benefit our entire Mat-Su Borough library network. Please vote yes to fund the new Wasilla Public Library.
