BIG LAKE - Two arrests were made and a child rescued Saturday after investigators busted a suspected methamphetamine lab in Big Lake.

The Mat-Su Drug Team, using a search warrant, discovered the alleged lab in a home off Big Lake Road, with two adults and a 13-year-old boy inside. The adults were identified as Terria Creech, 32, and Gregory Lee, 22, both of Big Lake. The boy was related to Creech, according to authorities.

Both Lee and Creech were arrested and transported to Mat-Su Pre-Trial Facility in Palmer, where their bail was set at $20,000. Their charges include three counts of second-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, one count of fourth-degree misconduct involving a controlled substance, one count of tampering with evidence and one count of reckless endangerment.

The bust comes at a time when Mat-Su lawmakers are considering legislation that would require stores to keep products containing pseudoephedrine - a key meth-making ingredient - behind the counter.

The Major Offenders Unit, the Alaska Bureau of Alcohol and Drug Enforcement and the Alaska State Troopers assisted with issuing Saturday's warrant.
