SUTTON — A fight between two family members at King Mountain Lodge landed one man in the hospital with life-threatening stab wounds.
According to a press release from Alaska State Troopers, the stabbing was reported at 5:52 p.m., Sunday.
According to the call, the injured man was at the Sutton General Store, but troopers say the fight actually happened at King Mountain Lodge, about 14 miles away, according to Google maps.
“During the assault, one man stabbed the other. Both men left the scene and troopers were contacted,” according to the press release.
Troopers say the man found at the general store had life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene in a LifeMed air ambulance. Troopers closed the Glenn Highway so the helicopter could land.
Troopers say the other person involved in the altercation had serious injuries as well.
“Investigation into the cause and circumstances of the altercation are ongoing. Charges have not been filed. No names are being released at this time,” troopers say.
