Pursuant to Howard Delo’s column in the Friday Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman and Andy Couch’s column in the Sunday paper, Mat-Su Valley sport fishermen need to be aware of the meeting this Wednesday in Willow at the Willow Island Resort (Mile 71.5, Parks Highway) at 3 p.m. The Mat-Su Valley legislative delegation is hosting a public meeting with ADF&G Commissioner Cora Campbell regarding the policy, status and future plans regarding the king and coho (silver) salmon runs in Valley rivers and streams. To quote from Couch’s Sunday column: “I hope to see you and others concerned for Mat-Su Valley salmon on Wednesday. Together, collective voices make a difference-take a stand for Valley salmon.”
