Take care of your own trash

To the editor:

I would like to address this letter to the person who dumped a hide-a-bed in my front yard this afternoon. If it looks so good in my yard maybe you should have kept it in your own front yard as an ornament.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Who does anyone think they are dumping garbage on someone else’s property, or anywhere but in the dump? I have lived in Alaska most of my life and traveled over a large part of it and have never seen anywhere as dirty as the Mat-Su Valley, and it is only because a small number of people are too lazy to go to the dump or clean up their trash when the wind blows it.

I am disgusted at those people for doing what they do. I love living in Alaska and when it is clean it is a much more enjoyable place to live. For everyone’s sake, take responsibility for your own garbage and stop trying to dump it on everyone else.
