Randi K. Bernier, a 17-year-old senior at Palmer High School, has been accepted by live audition to the Berklee College of Music in Boston, Mass. Berklee College of Music is the world’s largest independent music college and the premier institution for the study of contemporary music. Alumni include Grammy Award winners Melissa Etheridge, Kevin Eubanks, Joey Kramer of the band Aerosmith and Branford Marsalis. Bernier, a trumpet player, was also the recipient of the National Disney Outstanding Jazz Soloist Award in 2007 and is lead trumpet with the Anchorage Youth Symphony.
