TALKEETNA — Authorities have identified a person involved in the fatal shooting of a local man here Thursday evening but are saying little else as an investigation continues.
The body of Bradley D. There was at least one witness, a 43-year-old who was walking by at the time Mork was shot.
The witness is cooperating with investigators and has provided an account of the shooting, troopers report. After consulting with the Palmer District Attorney’s Office, authorities have decided not to arrest or criminally charge anyone at this time.
At least one other person was involved, but no other information is being released. It was not known whether Mork was at his residence or the home of another person. It was also not reported how many times or where on his person Mork was shot.
Elizabeth Ipsen, a public information officer for Alaska State Troopers, said an investigation is continuing and that other published reports about the circumstances of the shooting, that Mork was shot in self-defense, are speculation and premature.
