Lifelong Alaska resident Tamara Larson, 23, died Feb. 12, 2005, at her home in Wasilla, from a brain aneurysm.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Feb. 19, at noon, at the Peters Creek Christian Center in Chugiak. Pastor David Pepper will officiate.
Miss Larson was born Aug. 24, 1981 in Anchorage, to Marty and Juanita Larson. She graduated from Burchell High School and was a certified nurse's assistant. She was a member of Church on the Rock in Wasilla.
Her family wrote: "Tami was a true servant, with a gentle, giving spirit, and gave to others through many random acts of kindness. She had a beautiful heart and dearly loved her family and friends. Tami loved to take photos of her relatives, and also enjoyed traveling; she recently went on a trip to Jamaica with a friend. Tami's niece and nephew were extremely special to her, and Jessie and Jordan will miss Auntie "Hollah" very much. Tami will always be remembered for her gorgeous smile, her sense of humor, her "happy" dance, and her infectious laughter. We will miss her, but she lives on in our hearts until we see her again."
Miss Larson is survived by her father and stepmother, Marty and Myrna Larson; mother and stepfather, Juanita Larson and Brian Taylor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jennifer and Sam Newman and Angela and Eric Carlson; niece, Jessie Newman; nephew, Jordan Carlson; maternal grandparents, Edward and Esther Harmon; paternal grandparents, Norman Larson and Jeanette Fischer; aunts, Esther Harmon, Nora and Ryan Williams, Susan and Rick Clark, Joy Larson, and Linda Fischer; uncles, Eddie and Jodi Harmon, Ray and Dawn Larson, and Bill and Kate Larson and many cousins and treasured friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Audrey Larson.
Arrangements were made by Valley Funeral Home in Wasilla. Condolences may be sent to the family at P.O. Box 761, Willow, AK 99688.
