Free tax help available

AARP volunteers can help people with their taxes at Valley locations. Volunteers trained by certified IRS and AARP Tax-Aide instructors to prepare basic tax returns. Following are locations and dates for tax help in the Valley.

• Mid Valley Senior Center, 11975 West Mid Valley Way, Houston, April 1, 8 and 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 892-6114 after 10:30 a.m. weekdays for an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome.

• Palmer Senior Center, 831 Chugach Street. Fridays through April 15, and all Saturdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., through April 9. Call 745-5454 for an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome.

• Trapper Creek Community Center, near Mile 115.4 Parks Highway. March 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 746-6113 for an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome.

• Upper Su Senior Center, 16463 East Helena, Sunshine-Talkeetna. Thursdays, March 31 and April 7 and 14 from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Call 746-6113 for an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome.

• Wasilla Senior Center, 1301 Century Circle. Mondays through April 11 from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Call 376-3104 for an appointment. Walk-Ins are welcome.
