The owner of Wonderful World Childcare, Bryan Erdman, was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for failing to pay payroll taxes.
From 2015 to 2017, Erdman withheld tax payments from his employees’ paychecks but failed to account for and pay $295,463.91. He also failed to pay the employer’s share of payroll taxes, which totaled $167,181.02. He used some of the funds to pay for personal expenses.
In addition to the prison sentence, he has been ordered to pay $462,644.93 in restitution.
