Taxpayers shouldn’t pay

When investigator Steven Branchflower reported to the bipartisan state legislative panel that Gov. Sarah Palin unlawfully abused her power as governor, it was all over our newspapers.

I had heard it before and I heard it again, tonight on the Larry King Show, that Governor Palin had charged per diem expenses while residing at her home. I’ve found this very unethical and disturbing.

Over the many years that I was working, I’ve traveled many times on company business. I know what per diem is. I’ve seen people choose to leave the business due to false reporting of business expenses.

Maybe Alaska is different, but I don’t understand why the “Joe the Plumbers” of Alaska, should have to reimburse Governor Palin for per diem while she was at home.
