On April 15, the Conservatives Patriots Group will sponsor the Valley Tea Party at Wasilla Lake Park from 4 to 7 p.m. Other groups will have tables/booths. There will be a variety of speakers at the event.
The Tea Party is an affirmation of American values that have met the test of time. We may not agree on all things, but we do honor our nation and believe something is very wrong within our government and the path America is taking. We are nonpartisan. We are Independents, Libertarians, Republicans and Democrats. Our common passion is to have our children, grandchildren and future generations enjoy a nation rich in the values, culture and opportunities we as a people have enjoyed. We envision a nation where individual achievement is based upon individual efforts, not a socialist police state that follows U.N. law rather than our American Constitution.
The Conservatives Patriots Group and other represented groups at the Tea Party denounce violence as a tool to achieve political ends. Those advocating violence toward the federal government or any of its political subdivisions are asked not to attend the Tea Party. We are engaged in a struggle to preserve the heart and soul of our Constitutional Republic, which can only be won by political means. We are aware there is a campaign by the government-media complex to paint patriots as violent haters and racist bigots. The Saul Alinsky tactics used by the violent left in the ‘60s and ‘70s are now used against the American people by those holding power in Washington. They would welcome violence and move to shred the Constitution leaving our people as vassals to suffer under a dictatorial government.
The second American Revolution has already begun. It is a war of words and ideas by a proud people, an awakening and renewal of the American dream for ours and future generations.
The Tea Party is meant to send a message to Washington. We the People are your employers. Don’t ignore our desires. Don’t use executive orders and treaties to subvert the Constitution. Don’t squander borrowed money our great-grandchildren will have to repay.
April 15 will be a day we come together to honor our forefathers and mothers who gave us the America we cherish. May we hand it off to future generation as the Land of the Free and Home of the Brave.
