This is just a small reminder to the parents of really young chidren out there who are not wearing their helmets when bicycling or four-wheeling. They have got to remember to stop at all intersections, and look before they pull out in front of someone in a large vehicle who could easily end their lives.
On Wednesday, I was driving on Riley near the Wasilla Senior Center when one young boy pulled out in front of my rather large vehicle, on his bike, and almost got hit. I looked down the road he came off of (I had come to a complete stop), and saw many more young kids riding in the middle of the road, and riding like there was no tomorrow.
It scared the snot out of me, and I am hoping the young boy had a shake of his own. I have three of my own, and they are pretty much out of the house, but as they were growing up, they knew to get out of the road, or stop and look. Always.
