Technology and a responsible permitting process should prevail

To the editor:

It’s about time that the Mat-Su Valley had an opportunity to offer good-paying jobs and a stable tax base by having the Wishbone Hills Mine become a reality. I have full faith and trust in the Office of Habitat and Permitting biologist to do the very competent work they are known for to provide for the protection of the environment and biology of the area and allowing for the mining activity. Those opposing it have only narrow interests in mind and a not-in-my-backyard attitude. They need to pull their heads out of the sand and recognize that technology and a responsible permitting process should prevail. The opposition offers no alternative for job growth just complaints.
