Teeland Middle hosts fun run

WASILLA — Teeland Middle School hosted the Teeland Fun Run last Saturday at Teeland Middle School in Wasilla.

More than 150 runners participated in three different races. Riley Burroughs, 13, won the 2.4-mile race, clocking a time of 17 minutes and 9 seconds. Russell Diotte, 13, was the runner-up and 9-year-old Chase Rosenberg finished third. Tristan Talvi, 12, and Alyson Kopsack, 10, finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Noah Krazel was the first runner to cross the finish line in the 1.2-mile run. The 9-year-old posted a time of 9:33. Cade Johnstone, 10, finished second and 11-year-old Cooper Smith finished third. Kolten Ketchum, 11, and Austin Edwards, 9, rounded out the top five.

Christopher Ashland won the 5-mile race, with a time of 33:47. Brian Mayer (34:18), Jeremy Weller (34:25), Lane Reed (34:29) and Alisa Kincaid (38:41) also finished in the top five.
