PALMER — A 15-year-old boy who fell from his bike and hit his head at the new Palmer Skate Park was taken away by ambulance around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
The victim, whose name was not immediately available, apparently went over his handle bars after his front tire fell off the front of a picnic table feature. Witnesses at the scene said the victim, who was not wearing a helmet, fell onto his head and, upon impact, bent in a way that made his feet hit the back of his head.
The victim's condition wasn't immediately available Tuesday evening.
Nineteen year old Kyle Larson, who was at the park at the time of the accident and who made the 911 call, said he saw the victim have what appeared to be a seizure after his head hit the ground.
Bikes are not allowed at the Palmer Skate Park, according to signs posted at the park.
