Teen injured in ATV accident

A 14-year-old girl was injured after crashing into a gravel berm while driving a four-wheeler Sunday afternoon.

Alaska State Troopers responded to the scene at Caswell Lakes Road. They determined the girl lost control, hit the berm on the edge of the road and the machine rolled onto her.

Emergency medical services from Willow and Talkeetna treated the girl for “serious, but non life-threatening injuries,” according to the trooper report. She was airlifted to Providence Hospital in Anchorage.
