To the editor:
I read Carol Neuerman’s letter to the editor in the April 22 edition of the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman and I want to tell her I’m so sorry she had to hear that kind of a remark, especially from another mother who had a son in the military.
All of our military means so much and they all work together for one cause — the protection of the people of the United States of America. Yes, whether Navy, Army, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard or Paratroopers, we are thankful for you all.
Our family was fortunate to have all branches of military in our life — from World War I, World War II, Vietnam, Korean War, Somalia, Iraq and Afghanistan.
Carol, maybe one day that nurse will have a grandson or a granddaughter join the Navy, and I bet she’ll think different then.
And please, tell your son thank you for his service from me.
