Terry M. Barnum died from a brain tumor Dec. 13, 2003, at the age of 52 in Pensacola, Fla.

Mr. Barnum was born Sept. 5, 1951, in Irwin, N.C., and grew up in North Carolina, Florida, Arizona and Alaska, where he put down roots in 1973. He worked in the restaurant industry until he moved into the electrical field working for E.D.I. Inc. and Brown's Electric until he had to retire due to illness. He made Big Lake his home in the mid '90s. He loved the lake, boating, skiing, snowmachining and spending time with his friends.

He moved to Pensacola, Fla., where he enjoyed fishing, boating and spending time with his family.

Mr. Barnum leaves behind his mother Peggy Ensley of Pensacola; father Bill Barnum of Gardnerville, Nev.; grandmother Mozelle Thomas of Smithfield, N.C.; daughters Jennifer A. Barnum of Las Vegas and Lisa Vick of Anchorage; grandchildren Hannah and Dekker; sister Bridgette Barnum of Wasilla; brothers Michael and bill Barnum of Pensacola; and many other relatives.

His family said, "Terry will be deeply missed by those who love him and knew him."

He was preceded in death by his sister Jennifer G. Barnum.

There will be a celebration of his life at the Hangar Lounge in Big Lake on Dec. 28 at 2 p.m.
