Alaska Dog and Puppy Rescue offers its sincere thanks to all the wonderful people and businesses that made our open house and Santa Paws Coming to Town photo session a successful event.
We would like to thank Subway for providing delicious sandwiches and Slack’s Sugar Shack for the tasty baked goods. ADPR also is grateful to Linda Holt Denny, a Scentsy representative, for donating a portion of her sales to our group. Thank you, Frontiersman, for advertising our event.
ADPR also wishes to recognize all the wonderful volunteers who helped out at this event and who help our organization on a daily basis. You are the lifeblood of ADPR, making it possible for us to rescue hundreds of dogs and puppies each year.
ADPR now has a permanent location — 1675 N. Winding Brook Loop in Wasilla. This is our new office and adoption center in the Mat-Su Valley. Our adoption clinics are from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturdays (except for the first Saturday of each month, when we will be at The Home Depot in Wasilla). ADPR views this facility as a resource for the community, and we hope people will stop in to visit and gather information about dogs. In the future, we plan on offering dog-training classes, a low-cost spay and neuter clinic for dogs and cats and a library of resources concerning dog issues.
We invite new volunteers and fosters to join our group and to make a difference in the lives of the many homeless dogs that still wait for their forever home. Thank you.
Angie Lewis
ADPR vice president
