To the editor:
I want to thank all the employees at the Palmer Veterans and Pioneers Home for the fantastic job they did at their Thanksgiving feast.
They gave endless hours of their own time to be sure all the residents and their families and friends had a grand time. I heard the count was roughly 95 persons. The food was amazing, and thank you to the band Fat Chance for donating its time and talent to provide musical entertainment. It was a great time providing great memories.
I hope more local musical groups will donate their talents to entertain the residents. I know my dad who is a resident there comes alive when he gets to see and hear live music and that brings a smile to my face.
Thanks again!
