To the editor:
I hope you’ll let me use this resource to publicly thank the Palmer Ward of the Latter-day Saints church for their work on the Bugge Kiddy Park.
Last Saturday, Sept. 27, a crew of LDS men, women and children worked for hours to benefit all the children in Palmer. By work I mean they were on their hands and knees pulling weeds; scraping and sanding wood and steel for paint and stain; hauling loads of sand; raking and lawn cutting.
John Bugge Park is a cooperative effort between the Palmer Lions and the city of Palmer. When groups, like the Palmer Ward, volunteer to help on this kind of scale it is really appreciated.
Thanks to Bishop Greg Fullmer and project coordinator Shane Southwick for organizing the effort.
The park is located between the Palmer post office and Fred Meyer gas station. Stop by and take a look before the snow flies.
