Thank you to the Park/Rec/Trails Advisory Board for recently voting to approve advisory recommendation option No. 2 of the pool assessment to our Mat-Su Borough.

This can address the much-needed repairs to our Palmer and Wasilla pools. The meeting included high school swim parents, swim club parents, lap swim patrons and concerned residents.

The costs of the pool assessment are estimated to be good for a two-year period. The soonest our borough assembly is reported to address the pool assessment option No. 2 is at its December meeting, if it makes the agenda.

Our borough could also table addressing the pool assessment. If you are concerned and/or interested in seeing much-needed funding approved to repair our pools, please contact our borough assembly.
