Thank you, stranger

To the editor:

After having spent the holidays in Anchorage with family, we drove south to return home to Haines.

On Jan. 8, we had the mishap of running off the road and over an embankment about 4 1/2 miles from Beaver Creek. We were driving a white Ford Focus station wagon and were physically unhurt.

A semi with no logo on the side or back of it, that we can recall, came to our rescue.

The only thing we learned about the unidentified driver was that he was from Wasilla. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police also assisted.

Hopefully, the unidentified driver will read this and receive our heartfelt “thank you.” God bless you, and we wish you safe driving on the highway. We so appreciated your care and kindness.
