I was at Wasilla Carrs today feeling tense as I was running late and still had much to do. I barely noticed the neatly dressed woman in front of me, other than to note that she was purchasing several bags of brown sugar for the Christmas Friendship dinner. My turn came to pay and the Carrs clerk informed me that the woman had paid for all of my groceries and wanted to remain anonymous. That completely surprising random act of kindness brought tears to my eyes and lifted my spirits. So, thank you to the Secret Santa, and please know that I will be on my own mission to pay it forward.
