Thank you, Wasilla

You gave us hope and a beautiful example of courage, reliability, unselfishness and character. As difficult as this campaign has been and as disappointing as the result may seem at this time, you have changed so many people throughout this country by your example. You can be very proud of yourself and your family. As long as there are people like you in government, people we know we can trust, hope still exists for those who persevere.

The pendulum has swung far to the left and we are depending on you and those inspired by you to bring it back to the center. You have inspired me and many more in Pasco County, Fla., and across the nation, to work and contribute toward a better future. We were so proud to have you in our county during the campaign. You were victorious here as were all our local candidates.

Our work is not over, it has just begun. We still need you in Washington, D.C., and your popularity has given you a platform where you can still bring about the right kind of change. We’re counting on you and we’ll be behind you 100 percent. My priorities and those of so many others across this nation have already changed because of you. Wasilla, thank you for giving us Sarah Palin.
