Thank you, Waverli

Thank you for printing the Op-Ed by Waverli Rainey. I grew up in very small towns and know how much bravery it took Waverli and the editors to print her prose.

I see that she is able to embrace what small town values should be, and that others who also proclaim those values simply practice prejudice. I hope she is able to continue to be a part of the community without the ostracism that can occur in small towns when others do not hold to the common view, and dare to think for themselves, or worse, think critically and evaluate unpopular ideas and dogma as an individual.
