To the editor:
I would like to thank First Presbyterian Church of Wasilla for providing a furniture ministry to the residents of the Mat-Su Valley.
Recently, I coordinated with the deacons for two low-income families who were in need of furniture. Without this free ministry, these families and many others would continue to sleep on floors or go without basic furniture necessities that most of us take for granted.
The ministry originated after the Miller’s Reach Fire and has quietly continued blessing people through the years who heard through word of mouth of this resource. I hope to let others in need know about this opportunity and encourage Valley residents who have gently used furniture items they no longer use to consider donating to the First Presbyterian Church of Wasilla’s Furniture Ministry off Bogard Road.
Your donation will make a positive difference and encourage others, and your old furniture can find new life and bring comfort to others in need, literally. They store all kinds of furniture, including kitchen chairs, tables, couches, dressers, coffee tables, desks, beds, frames, filing cabinets and just about anything you need in a home. Supply is limited to items on hand and quantity of items per family.
Thank you, First Presbyterian Church of Wasilla!
