To the editor:
One year ago today on Valentine’s Day, reporter Greg Johnson and photographer Robert DeBerry featured Bob and I as a “local love story” in the Frontiersman.
Very belatedly, we want to thank you, Greg, and the photographer, Robert, for doing such a great job.
Bob and I enjoyed reading our story, admiring our pictures and reliving those many memorable times of the past 50-plus years.
Sadly, Bob passed away in October from terminal lung fibrosis and life without him will never be the same. But I know that he now rests in peace in his heavenly home, where high-flow oxygen is not a necessity for life.
This letter is to thank you both, Greg and Robert, for giving Bob and I the joy of reminiscing and reliving those happy events of our 51 years of marriage.
God bless you and keep up the good work.
