What a great Alaska State Fair parade! There was a nice variety of entries and intriguing entertainment for active kids, as well as the rest of us. Kudos to the person who arranged for the military bands to perform. I recognized the Army polar bear and North Star logo, but the Marine band was a nice surprise.
Thank you so much for the snappy, dignified band performances. My husband played baritone for the U.S. Army 7th Division band in Korea in the 1950s and we both always loved marches and performances.
Oh, and the handouts of delicious local carrots made the day just perfect. Thanks, farmers.
