United Way of Mat-Su would like to thank all the wonderful volunteers and their organizations for participating in our Day of Caring on May 20.
MTA, First National Bank, AK USA Federal Credit Union, Alaska Job Corps, Mat-Su Title, Northrim Bank, Interiors by Mae, Interior Expressions by Matt, ConocoPhillips, SERTOMA, Wells Fargo and our own United Way team members all helped. Lowes also provided painting supplies for The Children’s Place project.
Ten non-profit organizations benefited from the volunteers’ hard work and were able to get over a dozen spring projects completed for free.
The volunteers were invited to United Way of Mat-Su’s open house the next day to enjoy barbecue, music and door prizes. We would also like to thank Marty Rainey and his son Matt for providing the music, 3 Bears for helping supply the food, our board members for the side dishes and the following companies who supported the event with fabulous door prizes, Interiors by Mae, Alaska Railroad, Northrim Bank, MVFCU, AK USA Federal Credit Union, Diamond Parking, MTA, ConocoPhillips and North Star Speedway.
One person can truly make a difference in our community, but when so many wonderful people and businesses come together we can achieve so much.
United Way of Mat-Su is humbled and grateful for our community’s support. Thank you.
