To the editor,
On behalf of the American Lung Association Mat-Su Office I would like to thank Mat-Su Health Foundation for funding an Asthma and COPD needs assessment project in the Mat-Su Borough.
Asthma and COPD are common, complex, chronic, and potentially life-threatening respiratory diseases affecting the health, quality of life, and economy of many Mat-Su residents. This project will allow our office to identify the unmet needs of individuals suffering from asthma and COPD in Mat-Su, leading to progress on Healthy Alaskans 2020 goals in the Mat-Su Borough.
Mat-Su Health Foundation’s commitment to improving the lives of Mat-Su Borough residents is apparent in their awarding of these funds. We are excited and thankful for the opportunity to partner with them on this project.
Yours in Lung Health,
Ashley Peltier, Lung Health Manager
American Lung Association in Alaska, Mat-Su Office
