Thanks for great customer service

To the editor;

In this age of instantaneous go, go, go gratification, it’s indeed a rare experience to meet someone who will take the time to listen and thoughtfully explain how something works — especially when what you are working on is something to help you keep up with that need for instant gratification. In this particular case that need was to have a serviceperson come to my home to hook up my computer for access to a high-speed Internet connection.

I chose GCI as the business to provide this service. I then had the opportunity to meet and get to know a serviceperson that exhibited traits we rarely experience when making a purchase. He was courteous, reliable, dependable, timely, and knowledgeable — traits that are necessary for providing excellent customer service.

His name is Ryan Mothersheav. His professionalism and good-natured personality should make his mother, and his employer, proud. It was a privilege for this customer to have this serviceperson enter my home and help me connect with the world outside via high speed Internet. Something many take advantage of already, but for this customer, a handicapped woman in the “over 50” age group, Ryan’s sincerity and enthusiasm became contagious — yet another trait of excellent customer service.

GCI should be honored to have Ryan Mothersheav among their staff, just as I was honored to have him enter my home. This customer wishes the absolute best to Ryan and his future, both in his career and in life in general. It is extremely gratifying to know that in this age excellent customer service still exists.
