Thanks for help after wreck

To the editor:

My husband and I would like to thank John Vinduska and Mike Weller for assisting me on Sunday afternoon, July 15. I dumped my motorcycle on the corner of Clark-Wolverine and Mars when I hit the gravel on Mars Road. This is the first time I had dumped my bike and I hit pretty hard.

Both Vinduska and Weller where all of a sudden at my side, pulling the bike off of my leg, which I could not push off with my other leg that wasn’t under the bike, and then proceeded to make sure I was OK.

I hurt very badly in my shoulder and found out later at the emergency room that I had separated it and am waiting for further results. It should be OK in four to six weeks.

I wanted to just drive the motorcycle home, but they were insistent that they drive me and the bike the rest of the way home. I was quite out of it at the time as I did hit my head hard (thank goodness for good helmets), but I am OK.

Thank you so much Mike and John. I would never have made it home on my own, and probably would have dumped it again due to my shoulder and just being out of it. I hope you both know how much my husband and I appreciate your assistance. We are so thankful to have neighbors like you here in the Mat-Su Valley.
