The city of Wasilla and its Parks and Recreation Commission would like to express appreciation and sincere thanks to all who helped with Wasilla Clean-Up Days from May 13 to 18.
A special thanks to all the organizations and businesses that provided donations and prizes. These prizes will be given to the participating youth at the volunteer appreciation picnic from 2 to 4 p.m., June 21 at Iditapark. For residents who were unable to pick up garbage and dispose of it due to the inclement weather, a Dumpster will be available June 21 from 2 to 4 p.m., at Iditapark.
Thank you to: Chepo’s, Wal-Mart, Just Imagine Toys, The Tub House & Tanning, All I Saw, Chimo Guns, First National Bank, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 35, VFW Post 9365, Sportsman’s Warehouse, Alaska Bicycle Center Inc., Fred Meyer, Carr’s/Safeway, Valley Chiropractic, Integra Insurance, and Linda Brandon State Farm.
The commissioners would also like to express their gratitude to the Mat-Su Borough for providing a large Dumpster to aid in the deposit of clean-up bags and other refuse.
