A large high five to the Alaska State Fair board! Thanks for making the Alaska State Fair smoke free. For the first time I did not worry about my kids getting their noses burned by wayward cigarettes drooping from smokers’ hands at the kiddy rides. I had no need to worry about the increased risk for heart attacks and airborne carcinogens.
The air was clean and the day full of sunshine. I could smell the sweet scent of turkey legs and kettle corn. Thanks to the state fair board for making the fair healthy, safe and more enjoyable for all.
I hear that the city of Palmer might soon follow suit. Palmer is such a beautiful community. Kudos to Palmerites who believe in each individual’s right to breathe clean air! Once the city is smoke free, I will make plans to visit local businesses. Palmer is one of the gems of Alaska.
There is nothing more basic than the freedom we each have to breathe. Everyone has the right to breathe clean air.
