To the editor:
We had a sock drive to collect socks for homeless people from Thanksgiving to Christmas.
We would like to say thank you to all the kind and generous people who donated socks and gloves to our drive.
We collected lots - 209 pair - of socks for children, men and women. Someone was very thoughtful and also left many pairs of gloves.
We are so thankful to the businesses that let us put our collection boxes in their stores. They are Alaska Automotive, Palmer Glacier View Tesoro, Green Store in the Butte, AT&T Sports Center and the Idea Office for Home Schooling.
This has been a really rewarding service project for us and we had so much fun doing it. We could hardly wait to go check our boxes as we made rounds. We look forward to doing it again next year.
Thank you to everyone.
