Wasilla Sunrise Rotary Club has received huge community appreciation for building the Valley’s first inclusive playground at Newcomb Park at Wasilla Lake. The new playground is complete and available for the public, and especially for families with special needs children.
Our Rotary Club feels compelled to thank the Mat-Su Health, Rasmuson and Trust foundations for their financial support. Many other businesses and individuals also donated funds to make the new inclusive playground a reality. The city of Wasilla will maintain the playground and add its own equipment at the park. Our Rotary Club really appreciates the positive working relationship we have with the city. Thanks, Wasilla.
The women and men of the Rotary Clubs are trying to build a better community and create world understanding. A number of people in the community have recently asked us about joining Rotary. For more information regarding the work we do, please see our website, wasillasunriserotary.com.
There are also three other Rotary Clubs in the Valley if our early Tuesday morning meetings don’t meet your schedule.
