Thanks for supporting the Mat-Su Miners

To the editor:

Just a short note to thank everyone who made the Grand Slam Raffle such a success.

Thanks to Odom Corp. for the beverage donation. No one was thirsty. Sabrena and Sandy served, and the wine and beer were a big hit. Thanks as well to our setup crew from Palmer High School Baseball of Pete, Bob, Terry and Alex; the “kitchen crew” of Penny, Marcie, Robin, Denise, Molly, Lisa, Mary Lou, Peggy, Erika, Sandy, Cheryl, Stephanie and Meg; our grillers, John and Mike; and Todd for the awesome pulled pork. Colony High School baseball did kitchen cleanup and Palmer baseball took care of the main dining area. Thanks also to Chuck, Monica and Rick, who helped Pete work the stage; and to the home of the Mat-Su Miners and Alaska State Fair for a great venue for our event.

It’s everything all of you do, and all of you who buy our tickets that make it all happen. We appreciate all you do.
